I’ve been creating things since I was a child. My art training came through a couple of Newton KS high school art classes, a yr with a professional artist in Anchorage, and a few of classes at the Univ of AK Fairbanks and professional artists in Wichita. 

 

When I first moved to AK in the early 70’s, I found a new love. Never had I seen such a beautiful country. And I’ve seen 90% of the US. There was a perfect scene for painting wherever you went. I couldn’t get enough of being there, exploring every inch of the state, going back to the same place at different seasons, rain or shine. Each time it’s always different.

 

In 2007 I returned to Alaska and started painting again. It was one of the main reasons I had to go back.  I painted mostly landscapes on canvas with acrylics. 

 

(I'm a lazy artist because I depend solely on God's creation for my subjects. His compositions. His colors.  The talent He gave me. All I have to do is put it to canvases. Easy Peasy!)

 

My art became an avenue to share my creative expressions in the market place. It has given me a fun way to do what I love and meet some amazing people from around the US & the world. I hope to be able to do my art full time while I’m still young.

 

Each state holds a beauty of its own. My hope is to stir a conversation or spark a feeling of adventure in people as they view my art. I contine to look for new methods and venues to display my art.

 

I’ve done numerous gallery showings, bazaars, art fairs & these items have been available in various curios shops and galleries in AK and around central KS.
